Remembering John Hughes

I want to take a moment to reflect on the passing of John Hughes earlier this month. Like so many children of the 80's, his films hold a special place in my heart. He may have lost a few MPH off his fastball after Home Alone, but you cannot dispute the man's legacy. In my mind, 1983 through '86 represents the peak of his career. Since this is a blog of lists, check out his creative output from that particular four year stretch:
  • Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, 1986
  • Pretty in Pink, 1986
  • Weird Science, 1985
  • The Breakfast Club, 1985
  • Sixteen Candles, 1984
  • Vacation, 1983
  • Mr. Mom, 1983
Pretty incredible.

If you still aren't convinced that John Hughes was awesome, then please read this. (actually, read it even if you do think he's awesome).
