A Blast from the Past

One merit of the physical act of cleaning - not the end product, but actually in the cleaning itself - is discovering those long-lost and most cherished possessions. From under a massive pile of magazines you meant to read or thrown in the dark corners of the closet you meant to organize, are the discoveries of yesteryear or that certain something you tore the house up to find. Today I was putting on music in preparation to clean and uncovered a little musical time capsule labeled November 2006. While a music playlist from a year-and-a-half ago is not an earth-shaking find, I squealed with glee as I queued it up. Sitting here and listening to the tracks, I find the selection interesting (my track order is questionable) and definitely reminiscent of what I was overplaying during that time. Needless to say, no cleaning will get done today.
