One of the first things I bought for the nursery, well before the due date, was a cute wooden table and chairs set. This inexplicable impulse buy was assembled quickly and sat in the nursery gathering an assortment of books, toys and blankets until they found their permanent home. Now Indio is old enough to like sitting on the table or standing on the chairs with his arms raised until his buzzkill of a mother rushes over to pull him down (ahem, its my job). He also prefers scribbling on the tabletop directly rather than on the pesky paper we keep trying to put down underneath his crayon. With the table garnering this attention, I decided to spruce the table up a bit with some adorable vinyl stickers we got from Daniel's aunt, Debbie. I really don't know if a how-to is necessary since it is so easy. Whatever...blog of lists and all that jazz, so here we go:
1) I figured out placement of all my stickers. I stayed with only sticking them on the sides and backs so no seat or table top would be covered, thinking it might lessen the chance of them get peeled off.
2) For stickers that hit an edge I pressed them against the edge to form an indentation on the sticker. I then cut along the indented line and continued the sticker on the next logical surface or threw the extraneous piece out.
3) Starting on one end I applied the sticker and smoothed it out to the opposite end, watching out for air bubbles.
4) Seriously, that easy. And I even made it sound harder than it was so I would have more than one step.
